The below are tips drawn from regional and national contacts with regards to enhancing the sustainability of diverse STEM Outreach activities:

Design a framework for the continuous improvement and development of gender equality and cultural diversity practice
Develop delivery strategies to include all students and ensure all policies and procedures relating to WP are accessible to all people
Develop a positive learning environment and culture that is inclusive to all students
Take time to forge partnerships with organisations that have expertise in working with under-represented groups (e.g. disability charities; race equality councils; UKRC etc)
Link learners to positive role models from similar backgrounds wherever possible
As learners to give feedback on the activity in their own words. A presentation is one possibility but other activities such as getting them to design a poster saying why other learners would enjoy the event could be equally enlightening
