The University of Bath organises a series of free technology workshops for students. Sessions take place over three days at further education colleges in the region and offer students a unique experience and insight into higher educational Foundation Degrees in a fun and instructive college environment.

The three-day activities are a mixture of practical and taught sessions. Working with college tutors, students gain new skills, make new friends and chat with current University students, leaving with enjoyable memories and the knowledge to help them progress in their career.

These non-residential activities are aimed at young people from the families of no HE qualifications. The activities are currently HEFCE-funded.

Engineering related workshops include:

  • Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing
  • Motorsport Engineering
  • Build a Working Engine

Target Audience

Students aged 16 - 19.
