The Design a Fireworks Show! - using Context and Problem Based Learning project resources are split into 3 categories:
The following documents are the information briefs that have been prepared for the undergraduate students completing the activity and the 'expert' facilitators (PhD students). The information has been produced in conjunction with industrial contacts at British pyrotechnic companies.
Student Brief Document
There is one student and one expert brief provided for each of the following roles:
The Student Briefs provide the students with a general outline of what is expected of them and some starting points for information. Not all the information required to complete the project is provided as students are expected to research and solve problems using their own initiative, as is the nature of context and problem based learning. The Student Briefs, alongside the Student Support Documents and guidance from the 'expert' facilitators, should provide sufficient information to complete a realistic proposal.
The Expert Briefs combined with the other Expert Support Documents should provide facilitators with all the information required to help guide students throughout the project.
