The project The Challenges and Opportunities of Incorporating Community-Based Learning into STEM Subjects scoped the potential for community-based projects that could form projects for third and fourth year Engineering students at the University of Bristol. The project was hugely successful, with the development of 11 community projects with 8 different Bristol-based partners. The projects were a mixture of research (3rd year) and design (4th year) ones and 5 groups of students registered to undertake a total of 4 projects.
The projects' CLJ captured the thoughts and experiences of students, academics and community organisations involved in the process. Captures were done through photography and video, with a total of 13 media cards produced. A few examples follow; for the full range, head to CreativeSTEM.
