The University of Bath's online open week is designed to provide prospective students with information on its Foundation degrees. These degrees' emphasis on work-based learning equips students with the necessary skills and knowledge that employers require.
During the online open week students have the opportunity to dip into information, resources and sample activities which support the Foundation degree programmes - all at a time and place to suit them. They also have the chance to chat with current students and staff, who log on throughout the week to answer queries and questions. Video footage of interviews with tutors and students alike are also uploaded.
Students were approached via an email campaign which was carried out by the partner colleges. Students were also targeted via posters and postcards. Stickers for related literature were produced to help raise awareness and a press release featuring a current student was released by the partner colleges. A website banner advertising the open week was also included on the college website.
