Description

Subject: Chemistry

As part of The Royal Society of Chemistry’s Chemistry for our Future programme, a number of stand-alone CPBL resources were produced for undergraduates. These resources are designed to be tutor-led and resource material for each activity includes full instructions and details on: target age group; duration of activity (separated into formal contact time and independent study time) and suggested group size. The use of postgraduate students to assist and enable undergraduate student groups is highly recommended.

A total of 6 CPBL activities have been developed, including:

  • New Drugs for Old: A problem-solving case study in pharmaceutical and analytical chemistry
  • A Dip in the Dribble: A problem-solving case study in analytical, environmental and industrial chemistry
  • The Pale Horse: A problem-solving case study in analytical chemistry and forensic science

Target Audience

Chemistry undergraduates from years 1 through 3.
